A new year and a new thought process begins for us in the land of no clients (not that we were ever that heavy in client work to begin with). We just finished the collaboration project with Michael Meredith (more details on the right hand side). We are currently starting to finish the design for a publication-book we are designing for YouWorkForThem, featuring interviews and profiles with design masters Karel Martens, John Maeda and many more. We will be posting more framed and raw artwork this year on YouWorkForThem. Pretty cool article over at Metropolis about the Maxalot wallpaper project we took part in back last year. Our final piece is also on this page on the right hand side further down titled 'One Tall Tale'.

Also we kind of stumbled upon that we won a How Design Award for the work on the HP - Ipod web banners that we directed. Thanks to the Ends who helped us create this project and to Goodby, Silverstein & Partners for entering the work into the competition. This work can also be seen in more detail on this page on the right hand side further down.

Included in the package was also a 36 minute DVD featuring a performance interview (amazingly disturbing, intelligent and humorous) directed by Meredith. March 9, 1886: This short film is inspired by an actual bizarre event that took place back in 1886:"On March 9, 1886, as Verne was coming home, his twenty five year old nephew, Gaston, with whom he had entertained lengthy and affectionate relations, charged at him with a gun. As the two wrestled for it, it went off. The second bullet entered Verne's left leg. He never fully recovered. Gaston spent the rest of his life in an asylum, and the incident was hushed up by the media." Directed / Soundtrack by WeWorkForThem.
